Data-Linc Modems & Opto 22: A High Performance Match
The Data-Linc SRM6000 Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum license-free radio modem offers a highly reliable, top performance wireless solution for Opto 22 automation systems. Fully compatible with Opto 22 Optomux protocol in ASCII mode, the SRM6000 requires no special system programming and communicates transparently at the optimal speed of 115.2 kbps.
The SRM6000 typically connects as a Master radio to a PC running Opto 22 FactoryFloor software. One or more M4RTU's then connect to Remote SRM6000 Radio Modems thus creating a wireless multipoint telemetry system. Additionally, the SRM6000 can connect to RS-485 ports on the M4RTU controller allowing fast, wireless communication to Snap I/O or Brain Boards.
The high communication speed of 115.2 kbps maintains system performance for water/wastewater, tank farm, pipeline, and other remote SCADA and MMI applications. The SRM6000's extended operating temperature rating of -40° to 167°F (-40° to +75°C) ensures convenient installation with the Opto 22 equipment.
