Bellevue, Washington, USA, August 1, 2011— DATA-LINC GROUP announced the expansion of its support for international channels-to-market in China by the appointment of Jian “Jim” Qiu as Technical Sales Regional Manager for China and Asia Pacific, based in Beijing. He comes to DATA-LINC with over 11 years of serving US and China markets with sound knowledge and hands-on experience. Mr. Qiu is a US citizenship and a former resident of China. “Jim Qiu is a native Chinese speaker with an American business mindset,” stated Jim Steffey, President and co-founder of DATA-LINC GROUP. “I look forward to his leading the company to great success in China and the Asian market.”

Mr. Qiu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Beijing Union University, Automation Engineer School and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from University of North Carolina, Charlotte. In 1993-95 he was the Operations Manager for Beida Founder Company (commercial printing software system distribution) in China. He immigrated to the US in 1999 and worked Atlanta, Georgia, for Mangen Communications as their Sales Engineer / Senior Software Developer. Finally in 2007 prior to joining DATA-LINC GROUP, he worked for Extreme Trade Company, promoting the the company's products to major European petroleum companies and US lubricant manufacturers. He established firm relationships with China energy plants owned by the central government and has successfully worked with Russia, US and Canada on business negotiations. In addition, his background sales experience includes the oil & gas industry and working through distribution.
