SRM6200E-SLC Chassis Mount Modem Provides Unsurpassed Reliability and Convenience in Data Communications

Redmond, WA–August 21, 2000- Data-Linc Group, the leader in industrial data communications, is pleased to announce the release of the new Chassis Mount SRM6200E. The new SRM6200E-SLC is a license-free, wireless Ethernet modem, designed for seamless integration with Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley SLC 5/05^TM PLCs.

The SRM6200E-SLC provides the same full form factor advantage previously available only for the DF1/Channel 0 asynchronous serial version for SLC 5/03 and 5/04 applications. Now, both Ethernet (TCP/IP 10Base-T) and Serial versions are available for SLC 500 applications. The frequency hopping, spread spectrum SRM6200E-SLC is easily mounted in the rack with the processor.

A complete data communications solution, the SRM6200E-SLC is ideal for systems where cable installation is difficult or cost prohibitive—including SCADA applications, such as water/wastewater and oil/gas pipeline communications. Without expensive Ethernet cabling, this highly reliable wireless alternative employs MAC layer filtering and fully supports TCP/IP based protocols up to 15 miles away, with line-of-sight. The SRM6200E-SLC provides remote PLC programming and diagnostics, and wireless connectivity between corporate IS and control.
