It is capable of communication at speeds up to 28.8k baud, and responds to standard AT commands. The DLM4000 has a rugged steel housing with large mounting flanges for ease of installation.

To connect the DLM4000 to a PC or PLC use use a communication cable for your specific application. The modem connector pinout is as follows:

3 TXD OUT RXD IN
4 RTS RTS OUT

20 DTR DTR OUT

All connections to the DLM4000 are at the rear of the modem. Interface to the PLC/PC is through the DB-25 female connector, and the communication connection is made through the RJ11 jack.

Configuring for leased line or dial-up is accomplished by the setting of a jumper on the modem board and through the AT command process. As the DLM4000 comes configured from the factory for each specific application, this is usually unecessary. If changing the configuration of the DLM4000 does become necessary, please refer to the DLM4000 User´s Guide for detailed instructions.
