General Specifications
- The Dial-up Modem must have the capability of operating at a line speed of 28.8 Kbaud in full duplex mode supporting an uncompressed PLC line speed of 19.2 Kbaud (compressed data rates up to 115.2 Kbaud).
- The Dial-up Modems and connecting cables must be factory configured to provide simple installation (custom factory predonfigured- no modem field settings, programming or adapters required).
- The Dial-up Modem must meet or exceed industrial operating specifications of and 0 - 95% non-condensing humidity 0° to +60° C (32° to +140° F); Optional -40 TO +85° C (-40 TO +185° F), specify -ET version.
- The Dial-up Modems will operate at 15 watts with a wall mount transformer (110/120 VAC to 12 VDC, 800 mA). 24 volt DC, 300 mA operation should be optionally available.
- The Dial-up Modem must be able to accept any asynchronous serial data stream and interface to RS232/422/485.
- For maximum EMI/RFI immunity, the DIAL-UP Modem must be housed in a metal enclosure and also provide mounting flanges for ease of installation.
- A chassis mount version of the Dial-up Modem should be optionally available, housed in the appropriate PLC enclosure, to provide slot mount capability (either powered off the back plane or separately powered with a wall mount transformer supplied by the manufacturer).
- Indicator LEDs’ shall include, at a minimum: Power, Carrier, Data In and Data Out.
- The Dial-up Modem must be Model DLM4100 from Data-Linc Group or approved equivalent
